| Reunited with Roxana |
My parents arrived from Qatar at the beginning of July. It was a true family event, with Cassie and Carlos, on Skype. Yes, I was that person at the airport. :)
It was beautiful to see Roxana meet her Abuelo for the first time and reunite with Nana. She immediately recognized them, which brought tears to my eyes ((thank goodness for Skype)). She loved the kisses and snuggles; they really couldn't get enough of each other. What a lucky girl. As for me, waiting for them to arrive at the airport was like Christmas at age 3 (butterflies and all), but better. There is nothing like a parents love ((and hugs)). I'm pretty lucky too. Not to mention, Steve, he got some awesome meals from my mom and smoked a couple of cigars with my dad.
July was seriously the fastest month of my life. Our home was full of love and even though, I traveled for work, coming home and knowing they were there was the best feeling. I loved coming downstairs in the morning and fixing my dad coffee and staying up late with my mom talking about everything and anything. Too bad, I have to share them with Cassie. ;)
