95 and going strong

We went to California last week to celebrate Steve's grandmother, Otila, 95th birthday bash. This lady is 95 years old and looks like a million bucks; she's so active and independent, it's truly amazing.  Steve's family from Mexico and all over the U.S came for the event, it was such a treat to meet family I hadn't met before. It was also wonderful to meet all of the new additions to the family; Ella, Damian an Kai.....babies just add a wonderful element to families.

We also got to see some dear friends from the Navy, the Aichelman's. We miss them dearly and we're so sad we don't get to see them as often as we use to, but true friendships never die and this is a true example of it. Not to mention they kept us company all night when our rental car battery died and we didn't get home until 3AM, but that's another story for another post. . . .to make the long story short, Triple A never showed up; however, we were saved by some random nice guys. Thank God for Good Samaritans!
