Moving Forward and Icing

I love running in the southwest. The air is crisp, the trails are challenging and I love the blue skies. Steve and I went for a run in Placitas, NM after watching some football with his dad. Running is a love and hate relationship; however, it always heals my heart and clears my mind. I needed a good run.

My dear friend, Jessica, convinced me to enroll in a Wilton cake decorating class at Michael's. We've been attending the first level of cake decorating and it has been a blast. Yes, people, there are several levels. :) I never  imagined I would get so into it.  After thinking about it, I realized I don't use the right side of my brain as much as I should, it really does de-stress me. Day after day, I have conference calls with health plans, analyze findings and review documentation (first job) and I grade papers, help students and develop courses (second job). I need to make more time for me.

Jessica and I plan to sign up for level two next month. Who knows.. maybe we'll quit our day jobs and start a business. Ok, I won't get too ahead of myself.

I told Ellie I had enrolled in the class and she was so excited for me. I think of her while I decorate. :)

Below are some pics from our class and our decorated cupcakes.....

Not bad for my first time.

 Yay!
I don't know what the hell I'm doing, but it's fun.

Muchos Abrazos!
