We headed to El Paso last weekend, thinking I was about to host the best baby shower for my beautiful sister. However, God and Roxana had other plans. What was supposed to be a relaxing weekend, turned into sleepless nights, stress, anxiety and tears. Our Roxana got very sick. As soon as Urgent Care advised us to take her to the ER, we made the painful decision to cancel Cassie's baby shower. Roxana had the
Coxsackievirus which causes painful ulcers in the throat. Roxana's painful cry was extremely hard to bear and the fact that it was painful for her to eat was torture.
I feel as though, now we're real parents. Dealing with your baby getting sick for the first time while traveling, sucks. The end.
*Update - Roxana is a lot better; her pediatrician is keeping a close eye on her, calling me to check up on her. This virus is spreading so watch out.
