Steve's dad, Mr. Jimmy, came to visit last week and we had such a great time. It was nice going on walks with him every morning, making lunch, gardening, shopping, eating ice cream, going on cupcake runs and listening to his childhood stories. Steve is very much like is father and it's a treat to see them together; they love to tease me.
Millie loves her grandpa; she keeps going to the guest room where he was staying to look for him and gets really sad when she realizes he's gone. They really developed a special bond; maybe it was because Mr. Jimmy gave her a lot of treats for no reason at all. I especially miss the presence of Ellie while Mr. Jimmy was visiting, it was a presence you couldn't ignore. Ellie came to visit us too.
Mr. Jimmy also celebrated a birthday while in Houston; we celebrated by making his favorite, waffles with fruit and bacon, and later, Steve and I took him out for drinks and a nice dinner.
We miss you, Mr. Jimmy, please come back soon....if not for us, for your furry grand-daughter, Millie, who misses you dearly.
