We had an engagement party for our friends, Ruben and Victoria, this weekend. The big day is in October and we can't wait! They're such a beautiful couple; always laughing and showing their love. This is such a memorable time for them and we are so happy to celebrate with them. Ruben is from El Paso and knows the same people I knew in high school, but we didn't meet until we moved to Houston. He's also best friends with Steve's cousin, Carlos; so as you can see, it's a small world.
We are so happy we were introduced to them, because we've become such good friends and they have been so welcoming to Steve and I. Those types of people are hard to find. :)
Their favorite food is Asian so we had sushi, egg rolls, pineapple and yellow curry from their favorite restaurant and lots of sake. It was a fun night with engagement games that included shoes and lots of shots for the guys and wine for the girls. It was a great night.
